Young Adult Mystery Books , an all time friend of a young teen. There is hardly any young reader who does not like the mystery novels by Enid Blyton, Mark Twain, Louisa May Alcott or J.R.R. Tolkien.

Mystery novels give food to a teen's fascination and widen one's imagination. In Young Adult Mystery Books the protagonists are usually between the ages of 12 to 15 years. Hence the young readers can easily identify oneself with the main character.

Mystery fiction is often synonymous with crime and detective stories. Besides, in a Young Adult Mystery Book the emphasis is given on the element of puzzle and its rational solution. It may comprise detective stories, crime or supernatural mystery. The latest teen craze Harry Potter series includes the element of mystery in the novel The Chamber of Secrets by R.K. Rowling.

The young adult literatures are based on adolescence and the coming of age. The young adult mystery books usually narrate tales of adolescent

protagonists' entry in a strange period of life between childhood and adulthood, where in the process of solving mystery one learns to cope with the stages of maturation. In the end the whole experience teaches him a lesson that the protagonist will acknowledge forever.
