Yes, there really was a Dr. Seuss! “Who” was he? Why do we celebrate his birthday?
Here are various web links that will help you search for information about Dr. Seuss and his “zany” world of beloved characters.
Here’s how:
1) Take a journey to Seussville, here you can discover information about Dr. Seuss, as well as find various ways to play with some of Dr. Seuss’s characters.
Just click on the link, http://www.seussville.com, and enter the world of Seuss. Once at the site, click on the left of the Cat in the Hat on the High Bandwidth Site link.
- Click the road sign that reads “Biography,” read to find out “WHO” is Dr. Seuss, what was his real name? Why did he begin using the name DR. Seuss?
- Once you know about him, find your way to the playground road sign and enjoy some fun with the Seuss characters.
2) Your next journey will be a stop at the Seussville University. Here you can practice your math, reading, and/or reasoning skills. Just click on the link and test your ability to win in the land of Seuss: http://www.seussville.com/#/games
- Click on one of the house’s billboards to enter the game
