 Hot read . . . . .  summer in "be-tween" time . . . .

Check out the side bar links for any writing ideas.....summer time is a great time to have your backpack filled with a few emergency items:

  • Chapter book and a browser book (magazine, I-Spy, Eyewitness, etc.)
  • Theme/Journal (with or without lines), this is a great source for you to jot down what you see or hear and it's fantastic for sketching/doodling
  • Colored pencils, one plastic sharpener, one pencil, and one eraser (past your time away with your own artistic designs)
  • Roll of clear tape (find a leaf, stick some sand/dirt to the tape, pick a flower, what about a label or article, postcards, etc) tape it into your journal and jot down a memory
  • Small magnifying glass: take a closer look.....what if you suddenly shrunk and now you are living with in that microscopic land?
